Villa Layout

Villa Napalai’s private and shared spaces are spread over four levels, with the expansive sea-view master suite enjoying added privacy as the only top-floor room.

On the main floor is a bright, stylish open-plan space comprising the living and dining areas and kitchen.  Across the entire front of the villa are floor-to-ceiling folding glass doors that open to the spacious pool terrace and sala (gazebo) with superb sea and sunset views.

A staircase leads downstairs, first to a twin bedroom on the mezzanine level, then to two queen-bedded rooms and a study.  The lower floor houses the games and spa rooms, as well as the bright gym and double-height playroom that opens out to the landscaped garden, outdoor dining and barbecue area.  Two entrances offer convenient access to the villa:  at the main entrance is a covered two-car parking area, while additional parking space is available at the lower level entrance.  All indoor spaces are air-conditioned.

Indoor living

Villa Napalai’s extensive indoor living areas provide a cool and comfortable air-conditioned retreat. The main floor’s open-plan living area is equipped with a 40-inch TV and entertainment unit and furnished with an inviting sofa and bean bag chairs that match the blue of the sea and sky brightly visible through the broad folding glass doors. The adjacent dining room is furnished with a blond-wood dining table and eight chairs upholstered in white leather, while a modern kitchen complete with an excellent range of equipment and a long granite breakfast bar is set just behind. Another TV screen and entertainment unit is set up downstairs in the study, a sleekly-styled room with black leather chairs and a work desk equipped with fax and printer.

Also downstairs, Napalai’s games room, with its pool table, TV and a sparkling stainless-steel bar equipped with matching appliances, is the perfect place to shake up some cocktails. Kids can frolic in the bright, toy-filled playroom next door, where windows stretch to the top of the double-height wall creating a seamless connection to the garden. The gym, also with floor-to-ceiling windows, is equipped with a full set of free weights, step and rowing machines and plenty of space for yoga and working out. And for soothing post-workout relief, enjoy a treatment in the serene spa room, tucked away behind imposing wooden double doors and equipped with a massage bed and shower.

Outdoor living

Stretching out beyond the villa’s living and dining area is the stylish sea-view pool terrace with a white terrazzo sundeck, sunbeds and a built-in sofa. At the end of the 8.5-metre swimming pool is a shady sala (gazebo), where cold drinks can be enjoyed; this is a lovely location at sunset. The villa’s landscaped and very private garden features an attractive dry-stone wall at one end and a swathe of lawn where the kids can run around. A built-in barbecue and decked outdoor dining area with a table for eight makes the perfect spot for a seafood sizzle.

Master Suite

The top-floor master suite enjoys superb views across Surin and Bang Tao Bays from its secluded balcony with built-in daybed. Romantic and ultra-private, the suite’s king-size four-poster bed, swathed in mosquito netting, sits under a vaulted teakwood roof, while a silk ottoman and chaise longue, dressing area and a writing desk offer additional comfort and facilities. The ensuite bathroom features his-and-her vanity sets, a large rain shower and a jacuzzi tub set in a nook with ocean views.

Guestrooms

The villa’s two queen-bedded guestrooms each offer sea views through the tropical trees from their private balconies, accessed via wide floor-to-ceiling glass doors. The rooms are comfortable and private, featuring spacious wardrobes, seating areas and ensuite bathrooms; one with a bathtub and overhead shower, the other with a rain shower enclosed in glass and with black slate tiling.

Located on the mezzanine level between the main and lower floors, the twin-bedded room offers a cheerful retreat for adults or children. Beds have mosquito netting and a bed rail is available for younger guests. Two cosy chairs upholstered in warm red provide a comfortable place to relax; sliding doors open to a garden terrace, and the ensuite bathroom is equipped with a shower and single vanity.
